Title: The Need for Education in Old Age
Abstract: 

"Social change" can be defined as the change of social structure and its social relations network and the social institutions that determine these associations. Adapting with the changes brought about by technological developments brings social changes together, and this change causes to live in various problems the individuals and the elderly in the family, which is one of the most basic institutions of the society. Today, regardless of the level of development, the number of elderly people in the population in all countries is increasing steadily and the need for education is becoming important in every period of life as well as the needs of the growing elderly population. Education has an important role to play in solving the problems of older individuals that have in adapting to social change. The education has preventive, facilitative, remedial and preparatory functions for the elderly in society. In this review presentation, the important changes that elderly individuals face in terms of family and society and the importance of elderly education in coping with these changes are emphasized.
